Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) – guide for property buyers in Dubai

Jumeirah Beach Residence, JBR for short, is a seaside complex of residential and hotel towers with a long public beach on the Persian Gulf. The district neighbours Dubai Marina and lies in a freehold zone, where foreigners can buy property with full ownership.

Location and character of the district

JBR lies between Dubai Marina and Bluewaters Island. The Walk promenade runs along the beach, and transport is provided by, among others, the Dubai Tram. It usually takes about 35–45 minutes to reach DXB airport from here, depending on traffic.

What to see

The biggest attraction is the beach itself, with cafés, restaurants and shops on The Walk promenade. In the evening the area is full of life, and from the beach you can see Bluewaters Island and the skyscrapers of Dubai Marina.
